Back to part 2
Now this were no West Europeans, but Russians who also had travelled far (from the Krim), and again with Honda's 52° engine..

Occasionally (!) longer road sections are under (re-)construction, where (in lack of any deviation) one must somehow pass through ...

... sometimes fairly easy to drive, but sometimes also deep loose gravel.

And occasionally there is also one-lane traffic.

Railroad crossings sometimes allow being passed only very slowly, which also in absence of trains circulation can result in several kilometers of congestion.

But the Russian highway network is not at all consisting only of pot-hole paths.

Rest house and gas station along the way.

An exemplary service center at the highway: vehicle parts store, tire repair service and café are usually separate establishments (and not always all of them present at every gas station, but normally not too far away).

Gas station with mechanical liters' counting pointer. There first the reset knob needs to be pushed (and to be found, what even locals don't always succeed at first attempt ;-)

The restrooms are frequently outside of the main building.

Some oncoming Enfield riders have the way East still to go.

Crossing back the border between Asia and Europe near Yekaterinburg (thus somewhat further North than during on our way East).

Oh dear, look here - already again an Africa Twin, this time from Moscow.

That is not a forest fire, but a Schaschlik grill.

On a backroad in the Urals foothills.

Back on the main road: down there the bridge currently has only single-lane traffic for reconstruction.

Also occurring sometimes: flat tire.

The railway station in Kursk ...

... where a very decent overnight stay is possible, provided that you find the right access.

The railway station place in Kursk.

And in/with Kiev now Russia is again behind us.

These pervasive (in particular at almost every rural highway junction or bus stop) cuddling arrows will somehow be missing ...
